I'm back!

Well as you can tell it's been more the a year since my last post. All I can really say is that when RL decides to get real it Gets REAL!

We had a family member get really sick and she later passed on. The book store I had worked at closed. SO I had to do a bit of Job hunting.

Now I have a good job I like and will be buying a new laptop soon. Also I have gotten back into the internet for more then just a few minutes to grab fics and job search.

Marvel Meme!

I grabbed this from caughtincobwebs

All U.S. Internet Providers will be policing downloads by July 12, 2012

"File-sharers, beware: By July 12, major US Internet service providers (ISPs) will voluntarily begin serving as copyright police for the entertainment industry, according to Cary Sherman, chief executive of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The so-called “six-strikes” plan is said to be one of the most effective anti-piracy efforts ever established in the US."

The article goes on to give details. After six notices, internet providers will decide to throttle a person's internet speed, or cut it off altogether. I don't know if they will crack down on torrents only, or if it is up to the internet provider. I get the sense it is up to the internet provider. So some people could get away with downloading non torrents, while others might get their internet service cut off. I urge you to click it and read, as we all know people who download.

No more downloading eps of your favorite shows for vidding, gifs, or fanfiction art. No more downloading screencaps possibly. I'm so sorry my friends. I don't even know if BT Guard will work to protect you, but I would google it if I were you. It is a professional service that supposedly can protect you from the invasive eyes of your internet provider.

Just, my friends, please make each other aware. Please be aware of the date JULY 12TH. Mark your calendar and double check with your internet provider by then. If you start receiving notices of downloaded activity, this is why. And your internet service could be throttled or cut off.

Fox News confirms this:

ETA: Petition for RIAA and the Obama Administration: Stop ISPs from launching a massive copyright spying scheme this July 12th

Busy me.... (may contain spoilers)

SO, I remember now why I use to try and budget my time. I've fallen back into Podbooking, or making PDFs of Fanfics. With and without art. Normaly I would have just made a copy for me to read off line, but two things happened. There is a PDF of the so far complete Supernatural J2 Queensguard Verse! It even had two stories that I didn't know about. Sure it's AI8(?) Kris Allen and Adam Lambert. Not one of my kinks but I was just sucked in! Now all's it needs is the Time stamp to tell us what happened to K&A during the others.

The other thing is I found a story by loverstar. A Supernatural J2 Law and Order fusion! It has very pretty art so I had to offer myself up to PDF it all. Strawberryvanilla  did wonderful art that slightly butchered with my text to make a cover page. (See below)

And Now I remember how much I love it ! So if you are a fanfic writer or know of a story
and you want something PDFed, let me know i will do it. With  the author's blessing of course.

Now Scroll down and see the pretty art.

I fall Blind in my path of Justice podbook cover.

I write like .....

Well Gyz wrote a new Tony/Steve fic that has me buzzed!
I started watching the North and the South last night and instantly rembered why i LOVE it sooooooooooooooooo much!

the time has finally come. I'm moving to Trade Backs on my comics. I think that there are only three or four titles that I'll keep up on as comics, but the rest all TBs.

Google Privacy Issues: Web History

If you are going to do this, you need to do it before March 1st. It has been said that users will not be able to do anything about this after that date.

With reference to Google's policy changes and how everything you do with your Google account will be tied together into their super-cauldron of information, you will probably want to clear your Google Web History out - if you turned that feature on - before month's end. After that, you won't be able to clear it, and everything you search for will be connected with your account.

To check settings and/or clear out your Web History:

1. Go to Google. If you aren't signed in already, do so.
2. In the top right-hand corner you'll find your email address or name, perhaps an icon if you have a Plus account, and a little downward facing arrow. Click on the arrow and a menu will pop up.
3. Click to 'Account Settings'. This will take you to a page called 'Accounts'. (If you have a Plus account, you might go via a Plus sign-in page.)
4. Scroll down to a section called 'Services'. Here you'll find an option called 'View, enable, or disable web history', which has a link next to it. Click on the link.
5. If you never turned web history on, you'll get a page asking if you want to turn this service on. Just click 'No Thanks' and all is good. If you did turn it on, you should have a list of your searches. At the top there is a button that says 'Remove All History'. Click this and follow the instructions which will remove all items from your Web History and pause the feature so nothing else will be added in future.

Also, you can completely remove Web History as a service from your account by clicking THIS LINK, checking the tick-box and confirming you want to remove Web History. To be safe, it is probably best to do the steps above first to remove any history that might have already been collected.

Team Thief Leverageland promt #6 Parker!

We Steal the Grrrrreat stuff!

So as a member of Team thief I just had to do something as I'm horrid at art so I deiced to write something. Here is my last minute ditch effort only partly Betaed before I hit the wall that is writer's Block!!!

How to make a Parker.
Rating: G-PGish
A Leverage story with some Justified and White Collar tossed in.
Disclamer. I own no one in this. If I did I would be working real hard on a giant crossover for TV or maybe a morvie.

The psychiatrist had said that because something so horrible had happened to her, that she would remain be at that same emotional level all her life without treatment. One of the kids in session group told her to watch TV, find someone on a show study them and then be like them, slowly become them. That was how you get out of Treatment.

In Harlan, Raylan and Boyd always let her play Big Valley with them. It only made since she was the only girl they liked playing with. None of them knew that the boys would grow up and keep playing Heath and Nick. The Thing about Harlan County is most of it was coal miners, so demo was easily learned and put to use fishing.

A few years later in Detroit she came across reruns of 'It Takes a Thief ' and Parker knew she could do that. Why be Audra Barkley when you could be Al Mundy's little sister. Mozzie had been a great find after Archie had moved to be closer to his family. It was Mozzie, who taught Parker about what the real value in keeping somethings and hording cash. They were a great crew when they brought Neal Caffery on. Parker even deemed Neal fit to learn the basics that Archie taught her in the first year of her own training. Things were great til the great Debacle of Europe and Nathan Ford happened. They had all agreed to each go it on their own till the heat had wore off.

That had been years ago. Neal went to Jail, Mozzie is still under the radar, and Parker has her new team with Nathan Ford of all people. One day Parker would love for the team to meet Neal, Mozzie, Boyd, even Raylan. If that day ever happened one thing is for sure. It would never be in Harlan County. Cause like the song says. You'll never leave Harlan alive.

I know it's short, but I had to stop here or it would go over a thousand words, if not much more.
